Telecommunications Systems Design
Smith, Fause & McDonald, Inc. (SFMI) provides state-of-the-art design and consulting services of communications systems and telecommunications infrastructure for business, government, educational and institutional clients. Our office has a 29 year history of designing both passive structured cabling plants and active data and voice networks.
Structured Cabling Systems
Our engineers and RCDD designers create communications infrastructure using Category 5e, Category 6 and Category 6A and fiber optic station cabling to support high-speed data, voice and Wi-Fi networking. Our staff has an in-depth understanding of the requirements for modern Data Centers and Telecommunications Rooms. We can produce full floor plans, reflected ceiling plans and four-wall elevations in Revit or CAD to aid in jobsite coordination and construction. Our office has a unique experience in underground, aerial and riser cabling construction to support long-lasting high-speed infrastructure across campus and between Telecommunications Rooms.
Data and Voice Networking Systems
Our design staff has specified complete networking and telephone systems for entire cities and school districts, including core firewall and router equipment, VoIP, PBX and voicemail systems, server and SAN arrays, edge ethernet switches, VoIP instruments, Wi-Fi controllers and Wi-Fi radios, including provisions to conceal these within the architecture.
